W.A. Wilson

Our HISTORY

W.A. Wilson, Inc. is proud to be a 5th generation, Western New York based small business, focused on its long-standing core value of customer service.

In c.1894, Master Plumber William A. Wilson opened his firm, W.A. Wilson, performing plumbing and steam heating installation and repair, working out of his shop on Seneca Street in South Buffalo. The business performed work in all areas of the trade, from new construction, existing renovation, and emergency repairs.

Upon his death in 1931, the family business was passed to his son, W. Raymond Wilson, who had worked alongside his father. In the early 1950’s, the business was then passed to the next son in line, William R. Wilson. As the family business continued to service its longtime customers, the business was passed to Raymond W. Wilson, son of William R., who had also grown up in the family business.

Proud of his family’s hard working history in the Western NY area, Jeffrey B. Wilson, grandson of William R. Wilson, established W.A. Wilson, Inc. as a construction material testing and inspection laboratory in Hamburg, NY in 2013. With his education and extensive industry experience, Jeffrey Wilson is carrying on the Family’s long-standing core value of excellence in customer service.
